Farewell Manvel East

Well I am out of here! I am being transferred back up to the city, but this time deep city in the Houston 2 Ward. My new companions will be Elder Woodward...again lol! I will be in a trio with Elder Lozano, he is a good missionary and a hard worker. I'm super excited for this next transfer!

I will miss Elder Sibaja, we got along really well, but I need this opportunity to continue to grow. I will be leaving my dear members and investigators in the hands of a good missionary. We found a wonderful family this week, they are from Venezuela and have had a lot of contact with the church. They were a referral from the English Elders in Friendswood and they are very interested in the Gospel. One of our investigators will be baptized on the 28th of this month so I am excited to come back for that.  I have less than a year left and I am not going to waste a second of this precious time!

A cool story for the week: A less-active member called us for some help to move some furniture or something so we were like of course. So they finally pick us up and we find out it's not just some furniture...it's a whole moving truck full. So we being strong young men with a desire and maybe a little pride said of course we can get er' done. Well we did...after having to wait until the mom drove back to Alvin (a half-hour away) to get the keys for the truck we are supposed to unload. During this time we find out that her son (the one we are moving) was a TV reported for UNIVISION and had recently lost his job. He is a member but very inactive, but while we were there waiting, we helped him understand that everything happens for a reason, and that if we turn to Christ and give Him our troubles, He will take them and make them strengths. So he (Edgar, the son) ended up being a lot happier by the time we left and is looking forward to coming back to church. Cool!
Con Amor,
Elder Clements
