Wedding, baptism, and heavenly help

On tour at the Sugarland airport
Whew, one more week has been taken again here in wonderful Rosenberg, TX. It's been a hard week mentally but a great learning opportunity still! It's been a real challenge to contact our investigators this week so that's been rough. We got some new people we are teaching though, like that one lady and her son who came to church last week looking for help, they came to church yesterday and loved it! ðŸ¤˜. Other than that not much new has happened.

On Saturday I was able to go see Alberto get married and then baptized!!! That was way cool, he is so ready for the Temple! Anyway that is my spiritual and temporal comments for the day.

Freeze it up, warm it out, and now go to work.

Jan.22
Well this week was nuts! Texas shut down because it got to cold and everything froze lol. We weren't allowed to use our car so that was cool. Then we had zone conference which is always amazing, and the Spirit loves to light a fire under my butt! We have really been trying to work with our members a lot more this week and I can feel the the change as they come to trust us more! I love them so much and am so thankful for all of their support and friendship. We had a cool miracle this week at church. We were sitting in Sacrament enjoying the, well, the Sacrament when we got called out of the meeting by a member of the other ward. In short, I little boy came wandering to the church looking for someone to help his mom and give her a Book of Mormon and Bible. So we took off across the street with this little boy and met his mom who is super interested in learning more! Kinda crazy huh? God will lead those prepared to us, or us to them!

Faith it up, buttercup

January 15,2018

Well it's been another crazy, faith filled, and amazing week in Texas! We have really been trying to work with our members more and it's been slow but it has been good.

C*** has been doing well, we haven't been able to see him this week because he picked up a second job and had been crazy busy and tired. He has however continued to read in the Book of Mormon and his still slowly progressing!

J*** is still doing really well and feeling a bit more confident about his baptism. He is such a good guy!

R*** is still trying to look for the answer of whether or not he should be baptized. He is still reading thank heavens and still has a desire to learn. Super awesome!

A*** was able to read and will hopefully we working towards a specific baptismal date by the end of this week. Also a super great guy!

Well that's our investigators right now! Oh crazy kinda weird experience this past week. Ready? OK, here it is. Elder Mangum and I found this kinda crazy cool guyz while we looking for a former investigator. We taught then about the Restoration and they invited us back the next day. On our way to their house the next day, we felt really funny about going back to see these guyz and that feeling wouldn't go away. So.... What do you do when you have a funny feeling that won't go away? You pray about it, right? Well that's what we did, and sure enough we both felt very strongly like we should not go back, so we didn't. Haven't seen the guyz since. No idea what would have happened if we would have gone but boy do I know it was the right thing to listen to the Spirit!  I am so thankful for a Loving Father in heaven that is always watching out for us and has given us the Holy Ghost to warn us of danger!

New year, new prophet, and new horizons...

My first companion and another Elder from MTC

Well it's been another rockin' week here in Texas Houston South. It's been a really good but tough week for me personally. We found some amazing new investigators! One is already preparing to be baptized on February 24th of this year #MasQueNunca2K18! He is truly looking for peace and is progressing very quickly. Another investigator is still doing well, he didn't come to church this week, I guess he had a family thing to go to but we are looking forward to seeing him tonight and talking about the Plan of Salvation. He is still working towards his baptism on the 17th of February.  We have seen some really amazing things this week in the District also, there is a lot more faith and increase of energy this transfer! I have been studying a lot about the Atonement and faith and accountability this week. One of the things that I have really realized is that it begins with a funny little word... YOU. You must be the one to act first before anything happens, and it's amazing that we have that option. After we demonstrate our faith (praying, reading in the Scriptures, going to church, etc...) then are those blessings shown unto us. Only after we go to Christ is He then able to apply the power of the Atonement. There's a pattern isn't there? Anyway, pretty stellar how the Atonement and faith work. I know it's true and the Savior's grace is that little(or big) light that helps us through the tunnel. Have a killer week!

Finding, pushing, praying... That's this week

Cool graveyard in the nowhere area

Well once more I am here writing an email, telling about this past week and some of the experiences within. We are off to a new transfer and nothing much is changing in our area but for the District we are getting two new sisters! Pretty exciting and sad at the same time to see Hermana Hill and Sister Bigelow leave us.
For us it's been an amazing week, we found a billion (not that many) new investigators, and most of them are either neighbors or know each other! We were able to put one on date for the 17th of February and he is nervous but excited haha then we have another one working towards the same day and she is doing real well too. Other than those, we have a few others still pushing toward their dates but a little bit more shaky. One of our investigators and his girlfriend came to church yesterday which was awesome and he said he really likes it still! So we are excited to continue to work with him and everyone else.
It's cold here today, I'm pretty sure Texas can't handle this right now, it's pretty fun the panic that the cold brings here lol. Until next time, hasta nunca, bueno, hasta el próximo semana entonces! Lol les amo mucho
