New companion and new responsibility

Thanksgiving was delicious and fun!

11-27-17
It's been a week full of miracles! We received referral from a member a few weeks ago for a lady but we haven't really been able to see her until last Tuesday. She happily let us in when we knocked on her door and was very active in our discussion, at the end of the lesson we invited her to be baptized on the 24th of December, to which she replied "Of course! Does it have to be that far away?" How amazing is that! God is going to make it happen and I know it! If ya'll could pray for her health, I know she would really appreciate it! I hope all of you are starting to think of ways to participate in the #LighttheWorld Campaign this year, it starts on December 1st and goes until the 25th(Christmas). 25 ways in 25 days to share and increase your light!!

11-20-17
I am so glad this week is over! It's just been a whole bunch of running around trying to get Elder Wilcox's stuff ready so he can go home. I have my new companion, Elder Mangum, from St.George UT! He is cool and I am looking forward to this new transfer! We have had some issues with a couple of our investigators, trying to figure out what ward they go to. So we have been talking to President Hall about it and we are still figuring that out... they will still be baptized we just don't know where haha. Other than that we really have much more happen this week. I am now a District Supervisor and its good District and a wonderful area, success is soon to come!  Something I have been really working on is connecting people to heaven. It is something President Hall invited us to learn more about and understand how we do it. I have learned that the most important thing everyone needs to know is that God is YOUR'S and MINE'S and EVERYONE'S loving Heavenly Father! We need to have this connection with Him so that we may be able to understand to whom we pray so we can then receive answers to our questions! So simple, yet so hard to understand. I invite all of you young adults that get or read this email to go watch the face to face with Elder Oaks and Elder Ballard. It has some amazing counsel!

The work moves on 11-13-17

Well I am sure many of you saw my Facebook post this last week that the mission is starting to use Facebook within the next few weeks. It's gonna be weird! Well the work is progressing well in the beautiful Rosenburg area.
#MasQueNuca We were also able to find a couple new investigators also this week. We have an investigator from India and is really looking for a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, but the language barrier is kind of a challenge. Then we have another, who is the friend of a less-active member who is starting to come back to church. Super pumped to continue to work this wonderful area!

Oh also we got our good 'ol Toyoyta Corolla stuck in the mud trying to get to our investigators the other night haha we keep asking the APs if we can get a truck but it hasn't happened yet. It was pretty awesome actually, we called our member who's house we were trying to get to and she called her "nephew" to come get us unstuck. Not 30 second later we see a lights heading our way and a minuet later a big feller on a 4-Wheeler dived off the levy above us and come to our rescue with his awesome little back-country wheeler! He sure reminded me of dad, other than he was smoking, and he hooked us up and dragged us out of there! Also one of our investigators from our last area got BAPTIZED!!!!!! Elder Lozano and Woodward called me earlier the week the let us know and to invite us up to be there for it! I am so happy for and this big step she has taken towards heaven!
Twas' a great week! Yo se que Dios esta por nosotros siempre, solamente necesitamos pedir por su ayuda y ya!

"Hello my friend, can you pack your bags for me?" - President Hall

Leaving my companions
Oct.30th
Wow, what a crazy, crazy, week! President Hall called me after district council on Wednesday and told me he needed me to pack my bags and be at the mission office by 3 O'clock.  "OK Pres, I think I can do that..." So here I am now, out of the city and down back to the country and speaking English instead of Spanish. I have replaced two really amazing Elders,  they are doing what needs to be done right now and hopefully one of them will be back out in a few months. I am now with Elder Wilcox in Rosenburg, we get along really really well but he is finishing his mission in 3 weeks. It is super different being in an English area and going to a white ward...culture shock to the max. I only had 2 weeks in H2 but I will miss it a ton! We have some awesome investigators down here, a part member family that we are working so I am looking forward to get the work rolling here again! How amazing is the Plan of Salvation!

With Elder Wilcox
Nov. 6th
Well this week has been a pretty crazy week just as far as having no time goes. We had ZL exchanges, Zone Conference, and interviews this week and it just seemed to take a lot of our time. OH and then we had day light savings, which just feels weird now. Other than than it was actually a pretty decent week. We have a mom and son that accepted to be baptized and so did another person, so we are super happy for them to want to follow Jesus Christ and receive the promised blessings of said ordinance. No new investigators but some good potentials that we will work with this coming week. Also...we are getting smartphones now...so if anyone has some sort of Samsung smartphone, let me know! I am super interested to see how the work is going to change within the coming months and I am excited to continue to work this area! #MasQueNunca#FelizNavidad#QuereSerBautizado#Porfa?
