Temple, Demons, and Transferred

4-17-17
Wow what a week! I can't even imagine it's P-Day again. This week has been really good, we went to the Temple, found new investigators, and also found a cool little forest in the middle of Houston.

The week started off a little slow,  but really picked up the last few days. The Temple was AMAZING!!! There is nothing like the spirit and peace that is felt in the House of the Lord. Questions were answered and inspiration received.

We had a sick day on Saturday, Elder Woodbury had a virus of some kind and took him out that whole day but Sunday we were able to have a normal day, all of our plans worked out, and we got 2 new investigators! They are a beautiful young couple who are super excited to be baptized! Oh also we had another encounter with a demon... **chills** We were door-knocking in a weird neighborhood when we hit this one house with a super weird vibe to it, but we figured everyone needs salvation so why not knock? We knocked and waited...and knocked and waited... and as I was going to give it a third and final knock there was just this screech that sounded like a demon straight from the movies!! We took off cuz it scared us and that's it. Probably a demon judging from past experiences LOL. Anyway that's it for this week.

Last P-day in this district

Well I've been transferred! I'm out of the most densely populated area to farmland! I'll be back in a trio and still speaking Spanish. I will miss my birthplace and my companion but I am very excited to be into a new area. Nothing to much happened this week, we got a new investigator, who accepted baptism for the 26th of May!  I feel confident that I have left H4 better than I found it and I know the Lord is happy with my work. I love this work and I love these people!

Fruits are being harvested

This is Shadow

Anddddddd we're back for another P-Day in beautiful Houston Texas, nice and warm today with a high chance of rain and lightening. What a week it's been! I can't even imagine how it's Monday again. As the title suggest, we are finally seeing progress in our area! We have 2 new solid progressing investigators, a husband and wife!!!! They are awesome, they have only lived here for 6 months and they moved here from Honduras. They have a little kid and are really into the Gospel and have accepted baptism! We are trying to get them on date for the 29th of April, I have sooooooo much faith that we can get them into the saving waters of baptism. The Lord as seen our efforts and is letting us see the fruits!

Seek the Father's will

Holy cow what a week! The work is still going slow, we have 0 progressing investigators…but, and there is a but, I KNOW we are doing all we can to bring in the fold. I don't know what the Lord wants me to learn from this yet but I know I'm supposed to learn something. After many days of wrestling with the Lord, I have discovered what I need to be doing and my answer came watching General Conference of course! There were many talks about FOLLOWING the spirit and BECOMING a disciple of Christ, and each one of these talks seemed to just wack me in the face and in the heart. I now know what I need to do. We have been working so hard this week physically, but what I have been lacking is spiritual work. It's kind of a "DUH" moment for me lol. I have learned that I need to seek the Father's will and follow the first prompting of the spirit so that I may be able to receive more and therefore be able to be guided in doing the Father's will. Sounds simple, and it is, but boy the natural man is strong in this one.  I have never felt the presence of the Savior so strong as it is now, I know He is there and loving me through this, I can feel it! I testify, as a representative of Jesus Christ, that this is a true work, we have beautiful choices to make, and we have a loving Heavenly Father.

3/27/17 The work is slow here in Houston 4 Central but the Lord is with us.

Well like the title suggests, there has not been to much going on this week as far as progressing investigators. We have a ton of potentials but we are really having a hard time actually getting into the houses to teach so we can help them progress. We did however teach this one really awesome lesson, well the Spirit taught it, but it was a street contact and it was just amazing to see the heart of the lady we were teaching soften right then and there. It's such a strong testimony builder to be able to see the Spirit work through you in such and immediate way! The Spirit was so strong even on the street, that her husband came over to listen and we set up a return appointment for Tuesday. I personally had a hard week this week until about Friday, I was really just struggling with the fact that we had 0 progressing investigators. As far as "trunkyness" was concerned, I had a lot of it! The dear Lord answers prayers people!  On Friday night it was just reconfirmed to me how important this work is. I love this work but it is soooooooo hard sometimes.
